Which test strip brands are supported?
Pool Vault supports AquaChek 7-Way, AquaChek Select 6-Way, HTH 6-Way, Clorox Pool & Spa 6-Way, Taylor SureTRACK 6-Way, and Poolmaster Smart Test (Salt). There is also a generic strip option that works with most standard 6-pad test strips. We are continually adding support for more brands.
How accurate is the AI analysis?
Our AI uses the GPT-4 Vision model combined with brand-specific reference charts to deliver highly accurate readings. For best results, scan your strip within the time window recommended by the manufacturer and ensure good lighting. You can always verify with a manual entry if needed.
Does it work for salt water pools?
Absolutely! Pool Vault has full salt pool support including salt level tracking, SWG (Salt Water Generator) cell percentage and runtime settings, and salt-specific chemical dosing recommendations. It understands the unique chemistry of salt pools.
What pool types are supported?
Pool Vault works with inground and above ground pools of any size. You configure your pool's volume (in gallons), surface type, and sanitizer system (chlorine, salt, or bromine). All recommendations are calculated specifically for your pool's setup.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers with row-level security, meaning only you can access your pool data. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain. We never sell or share your personal data.
Can I enter test results manually?
Yes! While the AI scan is the fastest way, you can always enter chemical readings manually. This is useful if you use a liquid test kit, have a digital tester, or want to verify AI readings. Manual entry is available on both free and premium plans.

Does Pool Vault work offline?
You can view your dashboard, inventory, logs, and history offline. AI test strip scanning requires an internet connection since the image analysis runs on our servers. Manual test entry can be done offline and will sync when you reconnect.
